I am delighted to share news of major developments at the IPI and Campden in the U.S. supporting our ongoing commitment to developing the organizational structure. We have appointed a new President, a non-executive Director, new team members and enhanced Memberlink®.
We are delighted to welcome Brien Biondi as our new President of the Institute for Private Investors and Campden Wealth, NA, commencing on Monday, September 19th. Brien has a long heritage of leading vibrant, high-profile membership communities over the past 25 years and has served as Executive Director, Chief Executives Organization (CEO), Chief Executive Officer of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and as Director of Finance & Administration at the World Presidents Organization (WPO). Brien began his career with KMPG and was also Controller for the Archdiocese of Washington DC. He is an active member and leader in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Brien is a board advisor to many start-up companies, he has also served as Chairman, Greater Washington Area Board of Directors of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE); A Member, Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, Advisory Board; A Member of the Research Institute for Small and Emerging Business; and a Member of the National Governor’s Association Entrepreneurship Advisory Group.
Brien received his undergraduate degree from The American University in Washington DC and his MBA from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. He also successfully completed the certified public accountant (CPA) examination.
Brien is a progressive and proven leader known for his high-integrity and ability to run high-profile global organizations, working with membership communities, professional affiliates and developing high performance teams.
We will launch the new IPI Memberlink® channel on Wednesday, September 14th. This has been 10 months in development and has been overseen by Sharon Morabito, Head of Operations & Administration and Henry Samuelson, Head of Membership & Education. This will greatly enhance the ability for our members to connect with their peers and benefit from the world class educational content that the Institute delivers to its members.
We will also be welcoming Doug Mellinger as a Non-Executive Director for our business interests in the U.S. Doug is a seasoned professional with a rich heritage in membership organizations spanning 30 years and has participated in and supported Campden in the U.S. and internationally over the past decade. Doug will play an important role in providing the Board and the leadership team in the U.S. with strategic and operational guidance as we seek to build the organization.
We have recently welcomed Abbas Hashmi, Membership Development Director, to the team in late July. He is actively embracing and engaging with the community of private investors.
We will welcome back Vijay Kumar to the business on Monday, September 12th, in the role of Vice President of Business Development. Vijay worked for the business from 2011 – 2013 and most recently has been working with Relative Solutions.
Finally but not least, David Braham has relocated from our London office to New York as Manager for Campden Conferences in the U.S. David has been with Campden for over two years producing and developing our family events in Europe and Asia. David will be responsible for the Campden series of family events in Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Boston.
These are exciting times for the organization and all these enhancements have been pursued to ensure that the Institute for Private Investors remains the pre-eminent organization for significant wealth owners in the U.S., delivering best in class community and content.
