Latest issue of CampdenFB: Revealing Rothschild

In this issue, we have an exclusive interview with Baron David de Rothschild, the chairman of the Rothschild Group, and the family patriarch who is doing the most to perpetuate the family’s legacy into the 21st century. He talks about the family, succession – and running a financial institution in these difficult times. His insights are illuminating for any family business, no matter what the size.

This edition of CampdenFB also unveils our second list of the top 100 family businesses in Europe. Measured in terms of revenues, the list represents an exhaustive piece of research, which illustrates how important family businesses are to the European economy.

We have also introduced a new section called Craft, which portrays smaller family businesses – those with revenues of less than €100 million – which produce exceptional products or services and are linked strongly to the community they work in. CampdenFB reckons such businesses are essential to the strength of the world economy and as such are to be supported and celebrated. We start with profiles on the Naples-based tie maker E Marinella and the Cornish clothes retailer Seasalt.

Our special report this quarter is on divorce and the family business, which attempts to shed some light on this extremely important issue for family businesses. Also included this issue is an interview with Americans Marilyn Carlson Nelson, chair of travel and hospitality group Carlson, and Bill Yoh – the next-gen at defence and industrial company Day & Zimmermann.

Our passion investing section looks at wine – the prices for the most revered vineyards and vintages have been strong for sometime, as demand from Asia continues to be exceptional.

Published since 2001, CampdenFB magazine has provided business-owning families of substantial wealth with the knowledge, insights and vital business intelligence they require to manage their enterprises and their families successfully. Each quarterly issue contains exclusive family interviews, dedicated sections on all aspects of finance, governance and the next generation, timely special reports, comment and debate, news analysis and lifestyle features.
